The New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP) is an immigration program that allows the government of New Brunswick to nominate qualified candidates who wish to live and work in the province. The program operates under agreements with the federal government of Canada and is designed to help address the province’s economic and demographic needs.
The NBPNP has several streams, each with its eligibility requirements and criteria. These include:
  1. Express Entry Labour Market Stream:
This stream is for individuals who have a valid Express Entry profile and meet the eligibility criteria for at least one of the three federal economic immigration programs – the Federal Skilled Worker Program, the Federal Skilled Trades Program, or the Canadian Experience Class. Candidates must also have a valid job offer from a New Brunswick employer.
  2. Skilled Workers with Employer Support Stream:
This stream is for individuals who have a full-time, permanent job offer from a New Brunswick employer. The job offer must be in a skilled occupation (National Occupational Classification (NOC) Skill Type 0, A, or B) and meet minimum wage requirements. Candidates must also meet the language, education, and work experience requirements for their occupation.
  3. Post-Graduate Entrepreneurial Stream:
This stream is for individuals who have graduated from a recognized post-secondary institution in New Brunswick and want to start or operate a business in the province. Candidates must have a business plan that meets the eligibility criteria and must demonstrate that their business will provide economic benefit to New Brunswick.
  4. Entrepreneurial Stream:
This stream is for experienced business owners or senior managers who want to start or operate a business in New Brunswick. Candidates must submit a business plan that meets the eligibility criteria and must demonstrate that their business will provide economic benefit to the province. They must also make a minimum investment in the business and create at least two full-time jobs for Canadian citizens or permanent residents.
  5. Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program:
This stream is for skilled workers and international graduates who have a job offer from a designated employer in New Brunswick. The program is part of a federal-provincial initiative to attract and retain skilled immigrants to the Atlantic region of Canada.
  6. The Succession Connect Pilot Program :
This pilot program is designed to help foreign entrepreneurs who wish to purchase an existing business or become a partner in an existing business in New Brunswick.

The program aims to connect experienced businesspeople who are nearing retirement age with potential immigrant entrepreneurs who are interested in taking over or partnering with an existing business in the province. The program is intended to help ensure the continuity and growth of businesses in New Brunswick, while also providing opportunities for immigrants to establish themselves and contribute to the local economy. To be eligible for the Succession Connect Pilot Program, candidates must meet certain criteria, including having a minimum net worth of CAD 600,000 and demonstrating sufficient language proficiency in either English or French.
